The United Way of Lamar County will offer free tax preparation and filing for those who qualify this tax season again. IRS certified volunteers would prepare taxes as part of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program beginning Monday, February 22nd at the United Way office, 2340 Lamar Avenue, on Mondays and Fridays from 9:00 am-3:00 pm and on Wednesday afternoons.
