Sulphur Springs, TX—The Hopkins County Health Care Foundation is planning its fifth annual free mammography clinic, which will benefit uninsured Hopkins County women over the age of 40. The clinic is made possible through direct donations and proceeds from Designer Handbag Bingo.
The October clinic is available to the first 60 women who call to make an appointment. The dates so far are Friday, October 4, Monday, October 7, and Wednesday, October 9, from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. You can call 903-438-4325 to find out the full schedule of available appointments, as other days and times may be added.
The clinic will be held at the Ruth & Jack Gillis Women’s Center, a part of the CHRISTUS Mother Frances Hospital—Sulphur Springs. This facility, which opened in 2020, features the latest equipment and technology to better serve Hopkins County. Mammograms will be performed on the 3D machine for the greatest accuracy.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and should serve as a reminder to all women to schedule their annual mammograms.
Eligible women are asked to call 903-438-4325 as soon as possible to secure an appointment. Space is limited, and the clinic fills quickly.
The Hopkins County Health Care Foundation was founded in 1997 and is an IRS-designated 501 (c) 3 non-profit governed by an independent board of directors.
