Update: Chisum Student Recovering Driver Charged

The 15 year old Chisum High School student who was seriously injured after she was hit by a vehicle after getting off her school bus near Toco Thursday underwent successful surgery Friday and continues to recover at the hospital. Meanwhile, the driver who allegedly hit her,  42-year-old Marlon Coleman remains in the Lamar County jail on outstanding warrants  and was also charged with injury to a child.
