The Department of Public Safety has identified the man killed early Wednesday morning in a crash between two 18 wheelers and a pickup in Upshur County

State Troopers are continuing to work a crash involving two truck tractor semi-trailers and a pick-up truck towing a utility trailer on Hwy-271 near Lavender Road in Upshur County. The crash occurred at approx. 3:30 AM. There is one confirmed deceased. The preliminary crash investigation revealed that a truck tractor semi-trailer, traveling north on Hwy-271 crossed into the oncoming lanes of traffic, sideswiping another truck tractor semi-trailer that was traveling south on the same roadway. The northbound truck tractors towed trailer tipped over in the roadway across both northbound lanes of traffic, spilling its load of chicken parts. A short time later, a pick-up truck towing a utility trailer traveling north on Hwy-271, struck the trailer that was blocking the lanes of traffic. The driver of the pick-up. 57 year old Robert Williams of Overton, was pronounced dead at the scene. Hazmataz crews cleaned and degreased the roadway and Hwy 271 has been reopened.
