Upshur County Man Charged With Florida Murder Of Gilmer Woman

An Upshur County man was arrested Monday afternoon at his residence for allegedly killing a Gilmer woman who was found dead on a beach in Key West, Florida. Billy Baker has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of 38-year-old Candice Cooper. He’s being held in the Upshur County Jail, where bond has not been set. Baker is awaiting extradition back to Florida.
