U.S. Steel Rehiring At Lone Star

A spokesman for Local 4134 of the United Steel Workers Union says U.S. Steel has rehired from 60 to 75 people in the past few months at the Lone Star Tubular Operations facility. About 40 people returned to work at the No. 2 Welded Pipe Mill that was restarted a year ago. Some of the rehired employees had been out of work for six months to a year.
