The Sigma Chi fraternity at the University of Texas-Arlington, the fraternity’s national organization, its risk management group, and three local fraternity members have been sued for a million dollars by a former student involved a hazing incident. Ric Riner, a fraternity pledge suffered hours of humiliating treatment and was eventually hospitalized for alcohol poisoning and had a legal BAC of .45, which is six times the legal limit for drunk driving.
