Saturday around 12:30 pm there was a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash on IH-20 in Harrison County, seven miles east of Waskom. Reportedly a pedestrian, identified as Lea Celeste Williford, 32, of Marshall, was walking westbound on the shoulder of the eastbound lane of IH-20, ran from the shoulder into the path of a 2019 Freightliner truck-tractor towing a semi-trailer traveling eastbound driven by Eben S. Jean, 34, of Jonesboro, GA. Williford was pronounced dead at the scene by Judge Pinson, Meadowbrook Funeral Home in Marshal has her body. The crash remains under investigation, and no further information is available at this time.
