The 2022 public observance of Veterans Day in Hopkins County will be Friday, Nov. 11, at 11:00 am on the Sulphur Springs downtown square in front of the Hopkins County Courthouse. Speaker will be Robert Kerr, a local Judge Advocate of the U.S. Marine Corps League. The event is open to all, with some seating available around the flagpole in the center of the square.
The Veterans Day Ceremonies at Sulphur Springs High School, initially Friday, Nov. 11, were moved to Monday, Nov. 14, because the Sulphur Springs high school band was in San Antonio for the state championship tournament and was unable to attend the 11th.
A Veteran’s Appreciation Cook Out will be held Friday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at 1325 Shannon Road East (Suite A). Jennifer Scroggins Photography hosts it.
