The Sulphur Springs Veteran’s Day Parade will be held Saturday morning at 9:00 am beginning in Buford Park, going down Connally, Around the Square and back to the park. The Grand Marshal of the Parade will be 99-year-old Walt Dingman, Hopkins County’s oldest veteran. Following the parade, there will be a luncheon for Marines, in honor of the Corps 243rd Birthday.
Chicken Biscuits from Chick Filet will be available during the parade for $3. All proceeds benefit Community Seeds.
Operation Victor Echo Tango, or VET, will host an all you can eat BBQ Cook-off Saturday at the Hopkins County Civic Center grounds in Sulphur Springs. There will also be music by the Monty Tipps Band, Raffles, and other giveaways. Tickets are available at the gate for $10 adults, Kids under 12- $5 and Disabled Veterans are Free. The event starts 8:00 and serving will begin at 1:00 pm
