Visitations To Nursing Homes Could Be Delayed.

Governor Abbott’s order allowing essential caregivers to visit nursing homes and long-term care facilities takes effect today. Still, it’s most likely going to take at least a couple more weeks before it becomes a reality. Texas Health and Human Services Wednesday released 14 pages of rules for visitation at nursing homes and long-term care facilities. A spokesperson for the Texas Assisted Living Association says the state has provided almost no guidance on training essential caregivers.
