Walmart is building a large scale e-commerce project in Lancaster that will create more than 1,300 jobs. The City of Lancaster approved an $800 million investment for Walmart to build two e-commerce facilities to keep up with the growing online shopping demand. The facility will be 1.9 million square feet. The company plans to build fulfillment centers inside dozens of stores across the area to expand its ability to get pickup orders ready faster.
