A manslaughter warrant has been issued for a 29-year-old Choctaw County man in connection with a fatal crash. Troopers say a pickup driven by Bernardo Rocha blew a tire and overturned, killing his passenger, 74-year-old Gonzalo Arredondo. Rocha was seriously injured in the crash and will be arrested on the warrant when he’s released from the hospital.

Hugo Police are searching for the suspect who stole a welder from a property on East Lowery Street. The welder is a gray Lincoln SAE 200 Pipe Welder on a custom-made red welding trailer. The suspect is believed to be driving a maroon single cab dodge pickup.

Lockdowns have been lifted at most Oklahoma prisons after more than a week of fights and disturbances that left one inmate dead and more than a dozen injured. Most inmates are being allowed access to prison telephones, outdoor recreation facilities, dining halls, and showers. Visitation remains canceled at all facilities.

The Arkansas man who was shot to death after he broke into the eastern Oklahoma home of a deaf woman had an extensive criminal record of property and drug crimes in both states. The Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the suspect as 31-year-old Matthew A. Harvey of Huntington, Arkansas.
