We set a new record low for the highest temperature during the day. The old record on April 4 was 90 in 1978. The new record set Wednesday was 38 degrees cooler at 52 for a high. Thursday the high was 68.
We can expect another round of Severe Thunderstorm Watches later today and tonight. The catalyst is dry colder air moving against warm, humid conditions. The latter will lift and set off large hail and damaging winds. It will also make for a more chilled weekend with highs again in the middle 50s.
