Dallas Stars Take Another Win

NFL

The Bears entered Week 18 second in the draft order but then swapped spots with Houston for the No. 1 overall pick after the Texans beat the Indianapolis Colts 32-31. Alabama’s Bryce Young and Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud are considered the top quarterbacks in a draft class that could feature as many as four QBs taken in the first round. However, the Bears general manager Ryan Poles backed Justin Fields as Chicago’s starting quarterback for 2023.

Rockwall-Heath ISD placed its High School Head Football Coach, John Harrell, on leave after several parents reported that their children needed medical attention or hospitalization during the team’s offseason training program. WFAA says the students became ill after a strenuous workout that involved more than 300 push-ups over 60 minutes and that the impacted students were diagnosed with rhabdomyolysis or rhabdo. Rhabdo’ is a severe breakdown of muscle tissue that releases a damaging protein into the bloodstream.
