HIGH SCHOOL

Duncanville ISD says girls’ basketball coach LaJeanna Howard is under investigation after she allegedly violated her one-year UIL suspension. They placed the varsity girls’ basketball coaching staff along with Howard on paid administrative leave. In addition, due to the investigation, they canceled Tuesday night’s game against Skyline High School.

Henderson ISD announced a new head High School football coach on Tuesday night at a special board meeting. Beginning Monday, Clay Baker returns to his alma mater to become a full-time coach for the high school football team. Baker said he plans to spend his first few weeks building relationships with students and staff, beginning offseason training and leading the track program.
