Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore has agreed to become the new head coach of the New Orleans Saints. The Saints made the move official two days after Moore and the Eagles won Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans.

Meanwhile, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has watched the Philadelphia Eagles win a Super Bowl for the second time in eight years. The Dallas quarterback says the Cowboys are not that far from winning a championship, either.

They expect North Carolina to hire Brian Belichick as safeties coach. Belichick, the youngest son of new Tar Heels coach Bill Belichick, spent the past five seasons as the New England Patriots’ safeties coach before leaving in January.

Former Ohio State football coach Jim Tressel, who also served as president at Youngstown State University, has been nominated by Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine as the state’s next lieutenant governor.

Nicke Kaajavirta finished in the top 30 for the East Texas A&M University men’s golf team as the Lions finished 11th at the Bentwater Intercollegiate, hosted by Sam Houston, at the Bentwater Country Club this week.

They ranked East Texas A&M University’s men’s track and field Tuesday as the top team in the SLC over Northwestern State by 45 points, 12th in the South-Central region, and 94th in the country.

Despite an 11-point lead in the first half, the East Texas A&M University men’s basketball team suffered a 67-51 loss to the first-place McNeese Cowboys on Monday night at the Legacy Center.
