For the first time in 27 years, Major League Baseball will lose regular-season games over a labor dispute. As a result, they dropped the schedule from 162 games to likely 156 games, and the league and union have not made plans for future negotiations.

LeTourneau junior Jack Miller, of Diana, finished fourth in the pole vault at the OBU/GAC Last Chance, clearing 4.89 meters (16 ft.-.5 in.). His mark ranks 11th in the nation, and he is in strong contention to qualify for the NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships. Miller’s second Athlete of the Week of the year and eighth of his career.

The National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) membership celebrates the Athletic Training profession each March to spread awareness of the vital work Athletic Trainers (ATs) do. This year’s slogan is “Providing Health Care Everywhere.” As our profession grows and more and more groups recognize our expertise, they employ Athletic Trainers in many settings outside the traditional school and professional sports teams. You can find Athletic Trainers working in corporations, First Responder Organizations, Physical Therapy Clinics, and Hospitals, with our Military and many other locations.
