The VFW Post 3990 is hosting the 3rd Annual “Chisum Days” at Lake Crook Park tonight through Sunday. Saturday is ‘Dance Night’ with Blackland Band. There are Chuck Wagon Races, Food & Drink, Arts & Crafts, Trail Rides, and Old-Timey Photos. Check out Main Street on the Frontier with Old West Gunfights. You can enjoy Wagon Rides, Chicken Poop Bingo, and Mechanical Bull. Visit with John Chisum & Bass Reeves Reenactors and for the kids, there is a Petting Zoo & Pony Rides, Cowboy Mounted Shooting, and Old West Gun Fighting & Primitive Camping. Bring your horse and ride the trails of beautiful Lake Crook. Bring your Lawn Chairs. One day it is $10.00 and for the weekend it is $20.00 for ages 12 years and up.

The Paris Wildcats are hosting a Tailgate Party Saturday (Aug 6) from 4:20 pm until 8:30 pm to kick off the 2016 season. Pictures of the teams start at 4:30 followed by the Annual Booster Club Meeting at 6:30 pm. A scrimmage starts at 7:10 pm. There is free hotdogs, drinks, and snow cones, a bounce house, face painting, and music.
