• A Pitbull mauls an eight-month-old baby to death at his grandmother’s home. The child was in a bouncy chair in the bedroom when the family pet attacked her according to the Miami Herald.


• A Sheriff is warning parents about apps that target kids. Sarasota’s Sheriff Tom Knight says he has arrested 21 men who thought they were chatting online to a young boy or girl using these apps. Know what is on your child’s phone, and check the list of nine apps that could be a problem.


• Temperatures will continue to climb through the end of the week and into the weekend. Highs on Saturday will range from 100 to 105 with isolated storms. It’s hotter the further west you go.
