“Deck The Stage”
A Delightful Christmas Production

WINNSBORO TX – November 29, 2016 — The Winnsboro Center For The Arts (WCA) presents a Holiday Show that is sure to please children of all ages. “Deck The Stage” is a production of three short humorous plays interspersed with familiar Christmas music. Lindsay Price, a Canadian playwright who has written many award-winning plays, wrote the plays. “I found Lindsay’s work online,” says Maryann Miller, Theatre Director for WCA. “And after reading some samples of these holiday vignettes, I knew I had to mount the show here. The plays are just delightful.

Actors from the Young Players Troupe are Thomas Hulme, Ian Dierflinger, Sam McCarty, Skylar Moss, Addyson Earls, Maggie Finley and Elisha Dierflinger, making his stage debut. “These kids are so talented,” Miller says, “And just wait until you see Elisha as The Guatemalan Refugee.”

This family-friendly show, produced in association with TheatreFolk, opens Friday (Dec 9) at 7:00 pm and runs Saturday (Dec 10) at 7:00 pm, and Sunday (Dec 11) at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children under 12. You can purchase tickets in advance at The Winnsboro Emporium or the door on any of the performance dates.

WCA, founded in 2001, is located at 200 Market Street, across from the depot. A non-profit organization, WCA depends on donations and volunteers to continue to bring the arts experience to East Texas.
