Winnsboro Woman Jailed For Assaulting Hopkins County Deputy

Bond has been set at a total of $30,000 for a Winnsboro woman who allegedly assaulted a Hopkins County Deputy. Jessica Elizabeth Bruce, 34, allegedly kicked the deputy in the chest following a traffic stop. She was also wanted on outstanding warrants for Issuing Worthless Checks in Louisiana and Defrauding a Financial Institution.
