Winter Weather Possible By Mid-Week

Wintry weather is possible Wednesday and Thursday. The first round of precipitation will develop Wednesday and move northeast throughout the day. Freezing rain occasionally mixed with sleet will be possible north and west of a Cisco to Bonham line. The second round will develop Wednesday night and move east throughout Thursday. Freezing rain may be possible as far south as a Goldthwaite-DFW-Bonham line. Currently, the central area of concern for freezing rain accumulations and impacts is western North Texas, where temperatures are more likely to remain below freezing for an extended period. Light icing of overpasses, bridges, and surface roads may be possible. Slick spots may occur on bridges and overpasses along a Goldthwaite-DFW-Bonham line. There is still uncertainty in how cold temperatures might get, impacting where the freezing line/impacts arise. Continue to monitor for changes to the forecast over the next couple of days.
