State Troopers have released the identity of the woman killed earlier this week in a Van Zandt County crash. Investigators say 51-year-old Mattha Jane Maxfield of Grand Saline was traveling on FM 17 when she failed to yield at an intersection on US 80 and crashed into a truck driven by a 28-year-old Dallas man. Maxfield was ejected from her vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The truck driver was hospitalized in stable condition.
