Wood County Woman Indicted In Double Fatality Crash

A Wood County grand jury indicted a Mineola woman on two counts of criminally negligent homicide connected with a crash on Hwy 37 that killed two people in January 2020. They charged 25-year-old Kaylie Hasten in 46-year-old Anna Ruth Bates, Quitman, and her seven-month-old grandson Zander’s deaths. Troopers say Hasten crossed the center-line of the highway and collided with the car driven by Bates.
