Worker Shortage Linked To Unemployment Payment Increases

A worker shortage has hit the economy, but ideas for solutions are mixed. There’s a growing push to eliminate the extra $300 unemployment benefits, which started during COVID, but some experts say it’s too soon. Texas Economist Ray Perryman says while some are taking advantage of the system, the underlying problem is that we’re not churning out workers fast enough to meet the future needs, and many businesses are closed for good.
