Paris Police Report Monday (Feb 15)

Joshua Calvin Davlin

Paris Police arrested Joshua Calvin Davlin, 37, of Paris, in the 200-block of NE 12th St at 1:14 Monday morning on a parole violation warrant. Davlin is in the Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police responded to the Paris Fire Department at 6:14 Friday about assisting another agency. Officers found a 21-year-old Paris man shot in the leg. The victim was in Reno and reported that he had accidentally shot himself. On further investigation, the victim had been shot somewhere in Paris and, while en-route to the hospital, stopped at the fire station for help. They later flew the victim to a Dallas hospital for treatment. The incident is under investigation.

Jerry Lynn Young

Paris Police responded to a theft in the 3800-block of Lamar Ave at 2:03 Sunday afternoon. Officers located Jerry Lynn Young, 60, of Paris, walking out of the store with several unpaid items. Young was arrested and charged with theft. During the investigation, officers discovered that Young had at least two previous convictions for robbery and enhanced the charge to a felony. Young is in the Lamar County Jail.

Paris Police responded to 225 calls for service and arrested six people over the weekend ending at midnight on Sunday (Feb 14).
