  Authorities Investigating Death of Greenville Child

    Greenville police and Texas Rangers are investigating after a child was brought to Hunt Regional Medical Center with life threatening injuries. The child later died of those injuries at Children’s Hospital in Dallas. The Medical Examiner has not released autopsy results on the child.

    Mt. Pleasant police arrested two people for possession of a controlled substance. Bond was set at $10,000 each for 32 year old Candace Boswell of Arp, and 31 year old Bennie Ray Sammy Leon Lee of Tyler.

  NE Texas Death Row Inmate’s Appeal Denied

  The U.S. Supreme Court has refused to review an appeal from an Upshur County man on death row for killing two men 14 years ago. The high court made no comment in its decision on the appeal from 32-year-old Clinton Lee Young of Ore City.

  Man Run Over Near Lindale

    Authorities are trying to learn why a man was walking in the eastbound lane of I-20 in Lindale when he was run over and killed by three vehicles.  Investigators say 42 year old Cuong Nguyen was hit by an 18 wheeler, and then by two cars behind the truck.
