High School Basketball Plus Luke Gets Another Triple-Double In Mavs Win

On Friday night, the Paris Wildcats will play Van at 6:00 pm in the Area playoff round. That game will be in Mt Vernon and broadcast on 101.9 KBUS.

At Chisum high school, Rivercrest plays its area matchup against Wolfe City at 7:00 pm.

In softball today, the North Lamar Pantherettes play in the Midlothian Tournament. They will take on Carthage at 1:00 pm and Westside at 5:00 pm.

Prairiland will play in the Lindale Tournament.

Chisum is hosting a tournament and the Mustangs play Yantis and Sam Rayburn today while Honey Grove has Howe.

In baseball today, the North Lamar Panthers will be at the Grand Saline Tournament. They play Winnsboro today.

At the Chisum baseball tournament today, Prairiland and Paris play this morning (Feb 27) at 10:00 am. Chisum plays Hughes Springs at 12:00. Prairiland and Mineola will play at 4:00 pm while Chisum plays at 6:00 pm tonight against Hooks.

Prairiland has named boys head basketball coach Steven Weddle as their new athletic director. Weddle takes over the AD position after coach Mouser resigned last month. Weddle will remain the head basketball coach along with being an AD.

Luka Doncic tied the Mavericks team record last night as he recorded his 21st triple-double of the season. Doncic finished with 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 14 assists in Dallas’ 109-103 win over San Antonio last night. Doncic’s 13 triple-double of the season ties him with Jason Kidd for the franchise record. Doncic turns 21 tomorrow.

And the Dallas Stars road trip continues tonight as they take on Boston at 6:30.

Hardin-Simmons junior second baseman/catcher Mason McCord (Greenville, Texas) hit the game-winning home run in the bottom of the sixth of the series finale against UT-Dallas to win 5-4. In the three-game series, she hit .615 (8-for-13) with a double, three homers, six RBI and five runs scored.
