Man Assaults Nurse At Sulphur Springs ER

A 20 year old Grand Saline man is facing serious felony charges after he allegedly assaulted a nurse in the Emergency Room of Christus-Mother Frances Hospital Sulphur Springs.  Police were called to the hospital after the man had become combative and had  punched a female nurse in the stomach. Because of the suspect’s condition, he was placed in ICU.  It’s not known why the man was taken to the hospital.
