Governor Abbott says an inadequate supply of COVID vaccines from the federal government is the one limitation the state faces in providing vaccinations. Abbott said the state has distributed more than 1.7 million doses and administered more than 1.3 million, mostly due to the large-scale hub model used by Houston Methodist. He says the state will receive more than 800-thousand doses of the two Covid vaccines this week.
