NE Texas Death Row Inmate’s Appeal Denied

The U.S. Supreme Court has refused to review an appeal from an Upshur County man on death row for killing two men 14 years ago. The high court made no comment in its decision on the appeal from 32-year-old Clinton Lee Young of Ore City.

  Authorities are trying to learn why a man was walking in the eastbound lane of I-20 in Lindale when he was run over and killed by three vehicles.  Investigators say 42 year old Cuong Nguyen was hit by an 18 wheeler, and then by two cars behind the truck.

Car and Weapon Stolen Later Returned in Paris

  Monday afternoon, a Paris man called police to report that a known suspect had stolen his pistol and taken his car, a 1991 Blue Honda. Monday evening, the man notified police that the gun and car had been returned.  The investigation is continuing.
