ET Educator Sentenced For Sexual Assault

After a two day trial, an East Texas elementary school guidance counselor accused of having an improper relationship, has been convicted of sexual assault of a child. The sentencing phase of the trial began after the verdict was read, and 32-year-old Barbara Orpineda, of Arp, was sentenced to five years in prison and will have to register as a sex offender. No fine was assessed.
