No Plea Bargain For Man Accused Of Dragging Officer

A Northeast Texas man accused of assaulting a police officer by dragging him with his car after a traffic stop has appeared before a Bowie County District Judge this week. Jaroy Simpson is charged with aggravated assault on a public servant, theft of a firearm and possession of ecstasy. Prosecutors say no plea bargain will be offered.
