Paris Area Independence Day Activities

  • There is no official Independence Day celebration in the city of Paris but there are lots of other fireworks shows and patriotic events in the area:
    • Fireworks and other activities in Blossom will begin tonight at 6:00 pm at Blossom Community Park.
    • Roxton Ex-Students are hosting a 4th of July parade Saturday at 10:00 am, with games to follow. Fireworks at the sports complex in Roxton will be held dark.
    • The Maxey House will host an Independence Day event Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm with patriotic crafts, games on the grounds, s’mores, and more.
    • On Saturday in Detroit, the Volunteer Fire Department will host a pancake breakfast at 7:00 am, then line up at the elementary school for the July 4 parade. Float judging will be at 945 and the parade starts at 10:00. This will be followed by a BBQ cook-off and fireworks in dark in the city park.
    • The City of Bonham & Kiwanis Club of Bonham will present the 45th Annual “Lights Over Lake Bonham” Fireworks Show at dusk on Sunday.
    • Talco Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks Show get underway at 7:00 pm at the Community Park. Everything in the park is free including hot dogs, water, cotton candy, snow cones, and other giveaways. Everything is funded by fundraisers and donations from citizens, churches, and businesses of Talco and the surrounding areas. Fireworks will start at 915.
