Paris Police Report for Friday March 17th

Billy Sugg

Billy Joe Sugg, 52 of Paris was arrested at the local parole office on a parole violation warrant.

A storage shed located behind a business in the 1600 block of N. Main was broken into with a number of items stolen. The Investigation is continuing with promising leads.

Two days ago, the department published a surveillance photo of a person suspected of using a debit card that was not hers on the department’s Facebook page. That post was picked up by local media.

Kimberly Piper,  contacted the police department yesterday and affirmed that she was in the store and had made a purchase with her own card. Further investigation indicates she did use her card a short time prior to the card in question being used.  The photo published came from surveillance video provided by the store based on the time of the questionable debit card transaction.

We appreciate Ms. Piper contacting the department and want to confirm that Ms. Piper is not a suspect in this case.
