Paris Police stopped a pedestrian in the 200-block of NW 17th St and tried to identify her. She had given the officer a false name and then was identified as 37-year-old Amanda Lynn McBride, of Paris. She was wanted on an outstanding bond surrender warrant and attempted to flee from the officer but was apprehended after a short foot chase and was found in possession of methamphetamine She was charged with evading arrest, possession of a controlled substance and failing to identify as a fugitive.
