San Antonio Police Chief William McManus said Monday evening that Otis Tyrone McCain, 31, was arrested without incident in the death of Detective Benjamin Marconi, 50. Officials arrested McCain Monday afternoon after the car he was driving was stopped on Interstate 10. The alleged suspect McCain shot to death the detective in his squad car Sunday as he wrote a ticket after a routine traffic stop. The suspect targeted the officer because of his uniform. The San Antonio Police Chief is encouraging a two-man patrol. Other states reporting officers shot were Missouri and Florida.
