Sulphur Springs Traffic Stop Leads To Narcotics, Assault Arrest

Sulphur Springs Police conducted a traffic stop and learned the driver was wanted on a Smith County warrant for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Also, 29-year-old James Barry Norton, Jr. had possession of a small amount of methamphetamine. A new bond was set at $50,000 on the Smith County warrant and $20,000 on the Possession of a Controlled Substance charge.
