Body Found in McCurtain County

A body has been found on federal forest service land in McCurtain County and authorities believe it may be that of Fred Romine. The remains were found by a birdwatcher in a burned van near the Sherwood community about 18 miles north of Broken Bow. Romine had left Broken Bow in May to officiate a baseball game at PJC and has not been seen or heard from since. The FBI is expected to join the investigation.
