A tractor trailer crashed into a moving train in San Augustine County Monday morning causing 13 rail cars to derail. The driver of the log truck, 33-year-old James Cartwright of Shelbyville, was transported to San Augustine County Memorial Hospital as a precaution. One of the overturned rail cars contained sodium hydroxide, which spilled onto the ground. Three homes were evacuated for safety purposes.
