Paris Police made contact with 36 year old Kenji Barr in the 300 block of E Washington after they saw him placing a clear plastic baggie which is commonly used for packaging illegal narcotics into his mouth. Officers restrained Barr and found him to be in possession of Lidocaine patches. Barr was arrested for tampering with physical evidence as well as other misdemeanor charges.
Paris police are looking for an inmate who walked away from a work release program. A warrant has been issued for 26 year old Abel Ortega.
Paris Police located an unoccupied Honda Civic in the 100 block of E Kaufman which had been reported stolen in Texarkana. Officers began surveillance of the vehicle and at about 9:00 P.M. a man returned to the vehicle. 36 year old John Phillips was arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
