Actor Matthew McConaughey on Sunday eliminated himself from consideration as a potential candidate for governor after months of toying with a campaign. McConaughey posted a video on his Twitter account saying he was honored they considered him for political leadership, but he would not take that path. McConaughey’s video was released just two weeks before the candidate filing deadline for the Texas primary.
