Appeals Court Orders New Sentencing Trial For Kilgore Man

A Texas appellate court has ordered a new sentencing trial for a Kilgore man sentenced to 99 years in 2013 for the murder of a teenager. The court ruled that the original lawyer for Coby Ray Hudgins should have used  childhood sexual abuse against Hudgins as a mitigating factor in the crime and could have received a lesser sentence.
