Power Losses In Hunt County

Several hundred people lost power in Hopkins County during the winter storm Thursday. The main problem was ice and tree limbs bringing down power lines, and they think they have restored most of the power. At times, Hunt County had more than 5,000 power outages.

Double Murder Suspect Gets Two Life Sentences

Jordan Malik Carter A court gave 24-year-old Jordan Malik Carter of Longview two life sentences for the murder of two women. Carter pleaded guilty to killing Mele’kia Rae Montgomery and Alexis Carol Johnson. He must serve at least 30 years before becoming eligible for parole.
