  A Houston-area homeowner fatally shot an off-duty firefighter after both attended a party and later got into a physical fight. Woodlands firefighter Nicholas Daniel was shot during an altercation Sunday in Montgomery. The case will go to a grand jury. The fight was reportedly over text messages.

Man Dead After Officer Involved Shooting in Muskogee

  One man is dead after an officer involved shooting at the “I Don’t Care Bar and Grill” in Muskogee. Police say officers went to the restaurant to serve a warrant, and the man pulled a gun while being handcuffed and was shot by the officer.

Pedestrian Struck By Car in Paris

Paris Police responded to an Auto-Pedestrian accident in the 600-block of E. Washington St. A 25-year-old man had been found lying in the road and said he had been struck by an unknown vehicle. He was transported by helicopter to a Plano hospital where he was treated and released.

A winter storm dumped up to seven inches of snow in the Texas Panhandle and lesser amounts in the western half of Oklahoma Monday. The heaviest snowfall was reported around Amarillo. No injuries or significant damage was reported.
