Hugo Man Charged With Assault

  A Hugo man has been arrested for punching a woman in the face and setting her clothes on fire. James Whitfield, 48, has been charged with domestic assault and battery and third-degree arson. Whitfield allegedly told authorities the woman owed him money.

Broken Bow School Gets Bomb Scare

  A Broken Bow school was placed on lockdown Tuesday afternoon after a suspicious suitcase was found at a car wash about a block away from the middle and high school campus. A bomb squad from Durant investigated. No arrests have been made.
