  The Chief Executive Officer of the Choctaw Electric Cooperative submitted his resignation Thursday.  The Co-op Board of Trustees says Jon Miles has decided to pursue other interests. Joe Harris, a former interim CEO has been named to replace Miles.

  34 year old Demetrius Smith was arrested by Paris police for allegedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend.  He was charged with assault-family violence with prior convictions.

  Today is the last day for early voting in the March 1st Texas primary election. There are contested elections for county, state and national offices. Polls will be open on Election Day from 7am – 7pm, and we’ll be on the air with all the election results.

  Paris police are investigating a burglary at the Immanuel Baptist Church  in the 1700 block of Bonham Street. Investigators say an unknown person had entered the church and stolen several televisions.

  Commerce police are investigating another phone scam targeting East Texans. Potential victims have been told that they shopped at Walmart at least three times, spent at least $10 each time and had won a car.
