April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. The Children’s Advocacy Center of Paris (CAC) encourages the community to take a stand for children by raising awareness and learning how to prevent child abuse.
How will YOU stand up for children this year?
Friday, April 6 – Show Your Blue Day – Corporations, organizations, and individuals are encouraged to wear blue to raise awareness for child abuse. Take a photo and send it to jacicac@suddenlinkmail.com to be featured on our website and social media!
Monday, April 9; 10:00 am – Pinwheel Garden Planting CAC Paris; 711 Pine Bluff, Paris, Texas- Join us in honor of the children served by the center in 2017. We invite everyone to attend and help us plant pinwheels. The pinwheels will remain on display throughout the month of April. The pinwheel serves as a reminder of a happy, safe and carefree childhood, one that every child deserves. The Pinwheel Garden planting will take the place of our annual Hope Floats Balloon Release.
Wednesday, April 11 – Walk of Hope Join the Lamar County Victims of Crime Council in the annual Walk of Hope. Hot dogs will be served at 11:30 am, the program starts at noon on the plaza.
Sunday, April 29 – Blue Sunday
Invite your faith community to get involved by asking your faith leader to share a statistic or story during the service.
