Detroit ISD Names New Superintendent

Detroit ISD Trustees named a replacement for former Superintendent Bryan Howie. Mt Vernon ISD Assistant Superintendent Kathie Thompson is the lone finalist for the position. Thompson, who is a graduate of Rivercrest High School and Texas A&M-Commerce, has been with the Mt Vernon district for 32 years.
